Čechomor celebrates a quarter of a century with Proměny and releases a new single with Lenka Dusilová and the Prague Philharmonia.

The Čechomor group recorded the song Klevety together with Lenka Dusilová and the Prague Philharmonia on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the release of their most successful album Proměny. The premiere will be broadcast live today from the Český slavík awards ceremony.
Next year will be 25 years since the first release of Proměny, which is why the Čechomor group decided to celebrate the album, which won three Anděl awards, among others, and which has sold over 250,000 copies worldwide and was also released in Japan, with a grand tour planned for next autumn. The main guests on the tour will be the Prague Philharmonia and Lenka Dusilová. "When Franta and I realized that Proměny would have an anniversary, we immediately decided to call Lenka and ask if she would sing with us. We were very pleased that she agreed, because without her Proměny would not be the same. It is also clear from the reactions on our networks that the fans were very pleased with our reunion," says violinist Karel Holas.
The celebration will last a whole year, and today at the Czech Nightingale Awards, Čechomor and Lenka Dusilová will present their latest song Klevety.
"Promeny means a lot to us, it is our most successful album and the song of the same name Proměny is also one of the biggest hits. That is why it was clear to us that just doing a tour would not be enough, so we sat down with Karel in the studio and recorded the song Klevety. We hope that we will please our fans with it!" adds František Černý.
"Hearing Fanda and Lenka sing together after such a long time was really powerful. I really enjoyed the recording, it brought back a lot of memories of our beginnings, but at the same time it's nice to hear how Lenka has developed incredibly vocally and that she still approaches folk songs with humility," says Karel Holas, adding that Klevety is actually our first collaboration with Lenka in 20 years.
At the concerts, the audience will hear not only all the well-known songs from the album Proměny, but also songs that will appear on the upcoming album in May. The tour will have at least six stops throughout the Czech Republic and will start in November next year.
