BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE revive “Hand Of Blood” once again

Before The Poison definitively changed the rules of modern British metal, the foundations were laid by the EP Hand Of Blood. This very release from 2004 launched the journey that made Bullet For My Valentine one of the most influential metal bands of their generation. And now it is returning in full force.

The band has announced that Hand Of Blood will be reissued as a standalone release to mark the 20th anniversary of both the EP and the landmark album The Poison.

Fronman Matt Tuck commented: "I honestly can't believe it's been twenty years. I'm incredibly proud of where we've got to as a band – and it all started with these records."

At the time, The Poison climbed to No. 21 in the UK charts, appeared in the annual rankings of Kerrang! and Metal Hammer, and is still considered one of the most important metal albums of the 21st century. The joint anniversary tour with Trivium (The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour) clearly showed that these records have not aged – sold-out arenas around the world, including London's O2 Arena, speak for themselves.

Following last year's vinyl remaster of The Poison, Hand Of Blood is now next, available in several limited and exclusive editions – including a picture disc inspired by the original artwork, marble vinyl, a recycled CD, and a red vinyl version for general release.

The EP that started it all is back. And once again, it reminds us where the poisonous flame of Bullet For My Valentine was born.
