BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE JOIN FORCES WITH PENDULUM AND HEAD TO PRAGUE WITH A NEW ALBUM
Welsh metal heavyweights BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE are entering a new era. The band will return to Prague on February 16, 2027, when they take over O2 universum together with very special guests PENDULUM. The show will arrive alongside the upcoming eighth studio album Social Apocalypse, which is scheduled for release on March 19, 2027.
The story of BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE changed dramatically with their debut album The Poison in 2005. The record helped ignite a new generation of metalcore fans and turned the Welsh musicians into one of the most recognizable names of their era. The breakthrough single Tears Don't Fall became one of the defining songs of the band's career, while the album itself sold more than 500,000 copies in the United States.
The new chapter is introduced by the title track Social Apocalypse, the first taste of the forthcoming album. The record focuses on emotional extremes in the modern world and on the contrast between moments when life feels completely under control and moments when everything collapses.
Frontman Matt Tuck describes the concept in very personal terms. Life is an amazing thing, but it isn't always a walk in the park. There are moments when you feel on top of the world and moments when you are at rock bottom. I wanted Social Apocalypse to reflect the full dynamics of that experience.
The album will also feature notable guests. Will Ramos of LORNA SHORE appears on I Don't Trust Tomorrow, while Chrissy Costanza of AGAINST THE CURRENT contributes to In The Absence Of You. These collaborations add further dimensions to a record that is intended to open another major phase in the band's career.
The Prague concert will also bring back PENDULUM, a band with a long history with Czech audiences. Their combination of electronic music, drum and bass and rock has repeatedly proved its strength in the Czech Republic. They impressed tens of thousands of fans at Rock for People 2024 and returned the following year with a headline arena show at Forum Karlín supporting the album Inertia.
Alongside newer material, the Prague audience can also expect some of the songs that have become essential parts of the PENDULUM live experience, including Voodoo People, Witchcraft and Tarantula. Their presence makes the February concert much more than an ordinary support slot and creates a combination of two very different but equally energetic worlds.
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE also have a long relationship with Czech fans. They first appeared at Rock for People in 2011 on the main stage and returned to the festival in 2016. Their most recent Czech appearance came in 2025 at Forum Karlín alongside TRIVIUM, when both bands celebrated the twentieth anniversaries of their debut albums.
The February 2027 show therefore connects several important chapters at once. BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will arrive with a new studio era represented by Social Apocalypse, while PENDULUM return after another successful period of their own. For Czech fans, it will be a meeting of two bands that have repeatedly proved their ability to dominate large stages.
