BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE JOIN FORCES WITH PENDULUM AND HEAD TO PRAGUE WITH A NEW ALBUM
Bullet For My Valentine made a major breakthrough with their debut album The Poison, helping ignite a new generation of metalcore fans. They will arrive at Prague's O2 universum on February 16, 2027, with their upcoming album Social Apocalypse, which signals a new era for these veterans. The band has already opened this new chapter with the recent release of the title track, Social Apocalypse, the first taste of the forthcoming album. Electronic music pioneers PENDULUM, well known to Rock for People fans, will appear as very special guests. Tickets will go on sale on September 30 at 10:00.
Although Bullet For My Valentine did not become an overnight sensation, things began moving quickly following the release of their self-titled EP at the end of 2004. Soon afterwards, they began recording what would eventually become their debut album, The Poison (2005). The band later admitted that they did not have enough material at the time and simply decided they would somehow "figure it out as they went along" in the studio. The single Tears Don't Fall became a massive hit, while the album itself sold more than 500,000 copies in the United States alone. That same year, the band also went on tour alongside stars such as Metallica and Guns N' Roses.
The band first introduced themselves to Czech fans at Rock for People 2011, performing directly on the festival's main stage, where they later returned in 2016. They have since played numerous shows in the Czech Republic. Most recently, they appeared at Prague's Forum Karlín in 2025 together with Trivium, when both bands celebrated the 20th anniversaries of their debut albums.
Alongside Bullet For My Valentine, fan favourites PENDULUM will also return to the Czech Republic, having built an equally rich history with Czech audiences. Their most recent outdoor appearance saw them captivate tens of thousands of fans at Rock for People 2024, followed the next year by an impressive headline arena show at Prague's Forum Karlín in support of their new album Inertia. In addition to the standout tracks from the album, fans can undoubtedly expect some of their biggest – and by now timeless – hits, including Voodoo People, Witchcraft and Tarantula.
At the beginning of 2027, fans can look forward to the eighth studio album by Bullet For My Valentine, entitled Social Apocalypse. The central theme of the record can be described as the emotional extremes of life in the modern world. "Life is an amazing thing, but it is not always a walk in the park. There are moments when you feel on top of the world and moments when you hit rock bottom. I wanted Social Apocalypse to reflect the full emotional range of that experience," says frontman Tuck about the album. The record also features several special guests. Will Ramos of Lorna Shore appears on the track I Don't Trust Tomorrow, while Chrissy Costanza of Against The Current contributes to In The Absence Of You.
