Blitz Union release their second album “Evolution” – a dark, energetic and provocative mirror of today’s times

The Prague-based EDM-rock formation Blitz Union have released their long-awaited second studio album Evolution, which came out on January 16, 2026. This is not just another release – it is an album that grabs you by the throat and forces you to reflect on what we are actually living through today. The record delivers a strong statement about a world rushing forward without a clear direction – about people, technology, and our relationship with ourselves and with nature.

Blitz Union were formed in Prague in 2019 and quickly established themselves on the European electronic rock scene. The band combines heavy guitar riffs, catchy electronic elements, and dance-driven industrial rhythms that have become their sonic signature. The lineup consists of Mark Blitz (vocals), Schtorm (bass), Governor (drums), Shodushi (guitar), and newly also Gor (guitar). Among their best-known tracks are Plastic, Hotel India Victoria, and Human Robot, which have accumulated millions of streams.

An unmistakable part of their world is the mysterious figure of Mr. Blitz. He appears in music videos, visuals, and on stage. Mark Blitz deliberately reveals very little about this character – according to him, images, moods, and ideas flow through Mr. Blitz and are then transformed into lyrics and music. Mr. Blitz is therefore not just a mask, but a bearer of a message.

The album Evolution contains 11 tracks and conceptually focuses on exploring human existence in an age of technology, identity, consumerism, and our relationship with nature. Each song has its own story, meaning, and emotion.

The album as a whole functions as a mirror of today's world – insane, divided, full of contradictions, but also hope. Blitz Union's lyrics are honest, ironic, and at times uncomfortably provocative. They comment on important social and political issues such as humanity's destructive impact on the environment, abuse of power, social injustice, and societal pressure. The band thus becomes a voice of a younger generation searching for a new way forward.

Frontman Mark Blitz adds:
"Even if it sometimes feels like the world is heading in the wrong direction, we are all in the same boat. Maybe we can change the situation if we work together. Our task is to find a common path forward for all of humanity – a path away from nationalism, borders, and all forms of social division. We must unite and finally face global challenges."
