BEYOND THE BLACK break the silence: the album Break The Silence is out, the single “Ravens” connects the band with their fans

German symphonic metal stalwarts BEYOND THE BLACK released their sixth studio album Break The Silence on January 9, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records. One of its strongest moments is the fifth single, "Ravens"—an emotional track about belonging, loyalty, and the strength found in standing together even in dark times.

"Ravens" is not just another song on the tracklist. Fans were directly involved in both the recording of the song and the accompanying music video, allowing BEYOND THE BLACK to further emphasize the core idea of the entire album: breaking down communication barriers and rediscovering lost connections between people.

Singer Jennifer Haben adds:
"'Ravens' is about the feeling of belonging somewhere. About the light you find in others when everything feels disconnected. The voices of our fans gave this song its true meaning."

Break The Silence is a conceptual album that blends melodic and symphonic metal with subtle ethnic influences. Lyrically, it explores themes of communication, inner strength, resilience, and the need to reconnect in a divided world. Songs like "Let There Be Rain," "(La Vie Est Un) Cinéma," "Ravens," and "The Flood" present the band in their most open and mature form to date.

For more than a decade, BEYOND THE BLACK have been among the strongest names in the modern symphonic metal scene. Since their breakthrough debut Songs Of Love And Death (2015), which won the Metal Hammer Award for Best Debut, the band has continually pushed its boundaries. Subsequent albums Lost In Forever, Heart Of The Hurricane, and Horizons propelled them to the forefront of the European scene and opened the door to sold-out headline tours and appearances at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, and Graspop.

In recent years, BEYOND THE BLACK have completed their biggest European headline tour to date, toured Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America for the first time, and confirmed their status as one of the most in-demand names in contemporary melodic metal. In the summer of 2025, they will once again appear at Europe's biggest festivals—and Break The Silence makes it clear that the band still has plenty to say.
