Benátská s Impulsem! once again confirms its position among the most prominent summer festivals
From Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, July 26, the Vesec venue in Liberec will once again be filled not only with the best Czech and Slovak artists, but also with one of the biggest names in world pop music – Roxette.
One of the programme's highlights will arrive right at the beginning – the traditional Slovak Thursday, bringing energy, emotions and a reminder of the strength of the Slovak music scene.
The carefully curated line-up offers a diverse musical palette. Among the performers will be No Name, Richard Müller, Peter Nagy & Indigo and Horkýže Slíže.
"It's been quite a few years since we first played Benátská. We played in a tent and tried to catch the attention of every pair of eyes and ears looking at us as a young unknown band from Slovakia… After our concert, with small hearts and huge expectations, we watched the big bands performing on the main stage. Today, when we ourselves are part of Benátská on the main stage, it's amazing to remember how Benátská helped us break into the top league of Slovak and Czech bands. We're excited to play in the north again at the legendary Benátská!" says Igor Timko of No Name.
It is clear that Slovak music holds a strong position among Czech audiences. This is not just a thematic addition, but a full-fledged part of the festival highlighting the closeness of both cultures. Benátská s Impulsem! once again proves that it is not only about music, but above all about shared experiences.
"We're looking forward to Peter Nagy, who entertains the entire backstage with his jokes. He brings a good mood not only to the audience but to all of us as well," adds Dr. Petr Pečený, one of the festival organisers.
Every year, Benátská! s Impulsem attracts a wide spectrum of listeners from different generations. Once again, the organisers have focused on diversity, presenting not only the biggest Czech and Slovak stars, but also prestigious international artists. Already confirmed names include Lucie, Chinaski, Richard Müller, David Koller, Škwor, Horkýže Slíže, No Name, Wohnout, Vypsaná Fixa, Protheus, Peter Nagy & Indigo, Doctor P.P., Mig 21, Mňága a Žďorp, Michal Hrůza a kapela Hrůzy, Kreyson s Láďou Křížkem and Waldagang. Younger audiences can look forward to artists such as Sofian Medjmedj, ATMO Music and Totální nasazení.
The festival programme will kick off on Thursday with "Slovak Thursday", traditionally dedicated to an evening of Slovak legends.
