Benátská! s Impulsem Looks Back on a Record-Breaking Year: First Acts for 2027 Promise an Epic Ride
The 32nd edition of Benátská! s Impulsem has confirmed its status as one of the largest and most established music festivals in the Czech Republic. Tens of thousands of visitors passed through the festival gates over four days, setting a new attendance record.
But the organizers are showing no signs of slowing down. Preparations for 2027 are already well underway, and the first acts have been announced. Benátská! s Impulsem will return to the Vesec site in Liberec from July 29 to August 1, 2027.
This year's festival featured an exceptionally strong line-up. Roxette, Lucie, Chinaski, Škwor, David Koller, Mirai, MIG 21, Wohnout, Sofian Medjmedj and Kreyson featuring Láďa Křížek were among the artists who made their way to Liberec, alongside dozens of others.
One of the festival's most unforgettable moments was the performance by Lucie, a band whose history has been intertwined with Benátská! practically since its beginnings.
"We were there at the birth of the festival in 1990, back when it was held on the banks of the Jizera River and the stage was made of scaffolding pipes. Since then, both we and the festival have come a long way. The audience was incredible," the band recalled. Viktor Dyk summed up the festival performance with the title of one of the band's best-loved songs, "The Best One I Know." Robert Kodym added: "We're recharged like alkaline batteries."
More Than Music: Benátská! Offered Experiences Across the Entire Festival Site
Benátská! s Impulsem has long been about much more than a succession of concerts. This year was no exception, with a packed programme of accompanying activities and plenty of memorable moments taking place away from the main stages.
Visitors were drawn to a variety of attractions, meet-and-greets with well-known personalities and the mobile studio of Rádio Impuls. The festival also welcomed legendary Ozzák himself, aka Martin Dejdar, while British producer Steven Lyon was among its notable guests. As always, Kopeček was buzzing with activity, having become one of the festival site's favourite spots.
Benátská! 2027: The First Acts Are Announced
Preparations for the next edition are in full swing. As this year's festival came to a close, the next chapter was already beginning. The 33rd edition of Benátská! s Impulsem will once again take place at the Vesec site in Liberec, from July 29 to August 1, 2027.
The aim is to preserve what has long defined Benátská! s Impulsem: bringing together different generations of music fans and a variety of genres, major acts and festival favourites, while also introducing something new every year. The organizers also want to keep improving visitor comfort and expanding the range of accompanying activities, making it possible to spend the whole day at the festival and turning the event into a multi-day experience rather than simply a series of concerts.
"Benátská! has more than three decades behind it, but we don't want to stand still. We treat every edition as a fresh start and look at what we can do better. This year's attendance record is, above all, a commitment to do even better next year," the organizers say.
The first batch of acts has already been revealed. The artists heading to Benátská! in 2027 include Divokej Bill, Olympic, Tublatanka, Jelen, Marpo, Krucipüsk, Janek Ledecký, Kateřina Marie Tichá & Bandjeez, Doga, Trautenberk, Morčata na Útěku, SPS, Jamaron, Civilní Obrana and rap star Renne Dang. More Czech, Slovak and international acts will be announced in the coming months.
"After this year's edition, we're hugely motivated to take Benátská! to the next level. The record attendance is obviously fantastic news, but we're even happier with the atmosphere that filled the festival site this year. We're already working on the line-up for 2027 and negotiating with more artists. We want visitors to leave Vesec next year feeling that they've experienced something truly special," the festival organizers say.
A huge thank-you for the success of the 32nd edition goes to the visitors, artists, partners, the Statutory City of Liberec, the Liberec Region, the Integrated Rescue System services, the Police of the Czech Republic, Liberec Municipal Police, the security and cleaning teams, volunteers and the entire organizing team.
The 33rd edition of Benátská! s Impulsem will take place from July 29 to August 1, 2027, at the Vesec site in Liberec.
