Baudelaire Turns in His Grave: FAUSTOVY HRAČKY Dig into Carrion in Their New Song

FAUSTOVY HRAČKY, the sarcastically biting project centred around Dan Faust, never one to miss the mark, are releasing their second single with the Baudelairean romantic title "Mršiny" ("Carrion"). Which soul will find itself in it?
Dan Faust, the author of all the music and lyrics on the upcoming album "Vlci a prasatas", makes no secret of the fact that several songs on the album are dedicated to women who crossed his path in various contexts: "Mršiny is the flagship of the album for me. I like to leave my lyrics open to interpretation and I do not explain them directly to the listener. I want everyone to find their own meaning in my lyrics. In any case, 'Mršiny' tells a story that, in its own way, is close to all of us. For me personally, it is a very powerful and intimate song. After careful listening, it reveals a beautiful sense of strength and humanity," frontman Dan Faust elaborates on, or perhaps rather obscures, the story behind the song.
Along with the new song "Mršiny", the band are also unveiling the album cover, created visually by Dan Faust and Martin Šteidler: "I designed and created the album cover and the other visuals for the singles myself. My brother in arms Martin Šteidler, my primary school classmate and the coolest guy I know, helped me with the final digital execution," the author adds. The full album "Vlci a prasatas" will be released on December 4 via Smile Music Records.
