Basinfirefest 2026: A metal whirlwind that will bring together Apocalyptica, Steel Panther and Napalm Death!

The Basinfirefest metal festival, which regularly takes place in Spálené Poříčí near Pilsen, has revealed the first names of its 2026 line-up. The four-day event (June 24–27) will offer a wide range of heavy genres — from symphonic strings to gothic to grind and death — and tickets are on sale on the festival's official website.

Among the headliners, the Finnish quartet Apocalyptica stands out, formed in the early 1990s as an experiment by four cellists remaking Metallica. The group has gradually developed its own original face, combining orchestral ideas with metal intensity — the Finns will be presenting the recording "Apocalyptica plays Metallica Vol. 2" in Spálené Poříčí.

Visitors will be drawn into the darker waters of gothic/doom metal by British icon Paradise Lost, a band formed in 1988 that significantly influenced the development of gothic metal. They will also be joined on stage by British High Parasite, a project associated with the name of Aaron Santhorp (My Dying Bride).

On the other side of the genre spectrum, Basinfirefest will also welcome more accessible but theatrical bands: glam-metal showmen Steel Panther will bring their hyperbole and 80s riffs, while Tragedy: All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees & Beyond will offer an unexpected combination of disco hits and heavy metal.

For fans of extreme, the bill includes hard-core acts like Napalm Death (pioneers of grindcore) and Six Feet Under (death metal with a catchy charge). The festival will also feature a cross-section of modern and traditional metal: from nu-metal veterans Drowning Pool, through energetic British trio Cage Fight, to thrash Forbidden and black metal formation Groza. The stage will also be completed by bands like Embryonic Autopsy, Tailgunner, Danish Vanir, pirate-folk Ye Banished Privateers, Greek Yoth Iria, Brno's Deloraine (slavic/pagan folk) and young deathcore group Distant.
