Apple Juice Unleash "Šlapače vody". New EP Introduces a New Face of the Band

Apple Juice will release their new EP Šlapač vody on June 1, 2026. The band, which jokingly refers to itself as a "gang of rascals," has recently gone through a turbulent period of lineup changes. Today, Apple Juice is no longer purely a Prague-based act but rather a Prague–Ústí nad Labem collaboration. Alongside frontman Dušan Lébl, the new material is driven by Vitas (Vítek Michna), an Ústí-based multi-trumpeter, drummer, and creative force who also contributed to the songwriting process. Together with guitarists Paťák (Patrik Kuthan) and Hujer (Jakub Lochman), he brings a noticeable shift to the band's sound. "According to some 'critics,' you can hear riffs and influences reminiscent of Billy Talent and Foo Fighters," says Lébl. The sonic transformation was further shaped by American producer and longtime friend of the band Derek Saxenmeyer, who also handled the final mixing and mastering of the entire release.
The Šlapač vody EP features seven tracks designed to captivate not only the band itself but, above all, its fans. "From the very first notes, it's clear you won't be able to pull yourself away from the speakers. You won't switch off your sound system until the final note of the closing track," the frontman promises. The title track, Šlapač vody, serves as the lead single from the release. While the band is not planning a traditional music video, fans have already been treated to a visualizer-style slideshow assembled from photographs in the spirit of a "vacation diary."
Šlapač vody will be released on CD in a limited edition of just 100 copies. Starting June 1, all tracks will also be available on streaming platforms. The release will be accompanied by new merchandise, which will be available at the official EP launch event taking place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in the outdoor area of Prague's Modrá Vopice club.
