ALKEHOL will name their new album Připíjim on Barča

After seven years, Alkehol is releasing its twentieth anniversary album Připíjim – and what better way to christen it than at the legendary Barč, where it always smells of rock, beer and good fun!
How it all started (and why it hasn't stopped to this day)
The year is 1991. Ota Hereš and Petr "Kuna" Buneš, then still thrash metal guitarists from Kryptor, said to themselves: "What if we try something... less hard and more pub-like?" The word gave beer and beer gave Alkehol.
They recorded their first demo on January 25, 1992 in the legendary Na Slamníku pub, and this date is considered the official founding of the band. The first album, released on June 8, 1992, immediately made it into the TOP 20 of the federal charts. Critics shook their heads, fans shook their heads – the interest in the band, the concerts and the new records was huge. At the beginning, they would never have imagined that they would continue to operate in this spirit for over 30 years and release 20 albums! But when they sold out Lucerna in 1993, it was clear: Alkehol is here and it is not going anywhere.
Since then, the band has been pouring out albums like a brewery barrels – a new one every year until 2000. Then the pace slowed down slightly, but the quality remained. However, the last seven years have been quiet on the path. And that is exactly why Připíjím is such a long-awaited return. And it deserves a proper christening!
And how does frontman Ota himself invite us?
"December 2nd at the legendary Barč, by the way, we've been playing in this cultural center with Kuna since the 80s and now we've finally made it here with Alkehol. So December 2nd at Barč, the launch of the new album and of course a solo concert, which will be just for you. So come along, we're looking forward to seeing you and we'll have a great Christmas party."
So let's raise a pint together with the band and "a toast to all of us who have good style!"
