ALKEHOL release new music video for Máme dar. Beer threatens the entire world

Alkehol have been one of the most recognizable names on the Czech rock and pub-rock scene for more than three decades. The band, which has built a loyal fan base over the years thanks to its distinctive sense of humor, light-hearted approach, and songs celebrating friendship and the golden beverage, now returns with a new music video for the song Máme dar (We Have a Gift).

The new release confirms that Alkehol have certainly not lost their taste for exaggeration and absurdity. This time, the story unfolds somewhere between pub reality and a world of fantasy. As the lyrics suggest, everything begins with an innocent toast in the band's favorite local pub.

"The lyrics say: 'We have a gift – to get into a magical world through booze' – and that's exactly where we end up after clinking beer mugs together. Then the beer starts chasing us around the world until we're summoned by the president to solve a beer-induced catastrophe. Eventually, the FBI (Federal Beer Investigation) decides that the only way to save the world from the beer disaster is to deport us from Earth," explains singer and guitarist Ota Hereš.

Fans of Alkehol are getting exactly what they expect from the band – humor, absurd situations, and the trademark tongue-in-cheek style that has always been an essential part of their music. The new video also proves that even after all these years on the scene, the band has not lost its desire to entertain either themselves or their audience.

The song Máme dar was written by Petr Buneš and Ota Hereš, who are credited with both the music and lyrics.
