Alkehol christened the album Přípijim na Barče: Beer, rum and humor flowed in unison

On December 2, 2025, the launch of the new album Připíjim by the cult band Alkehol took place in the Prague Barikádníků House, or Barč. And as is customary with Alkehol, the program was rich, even without the presence of the support band. However, the band invited one special guest, but more on that later.

The gates of the cultural center opened at 6 pm, and what else should rockers have right before the Alkehol concert than a traditional golden drink, so typical of our Czech country? At the bar, they had a choice of two types of beer - Kozla or Pilsen. Half an hour later, the autograph session broke out. With a friendly smile on their lips, the band signed autographs for all the fans who came to get their autographs. After the official autograph session, they even took pictures with some fans, although taking pictures was not part of the program. A little later, at 8 pm, the main event began, for which all the fans had come to Barča.

"Hey, hey, hey, hey..." - yes, this is the introduction to almost every Alkehol concert I've ever attended. And I certainly don't need to mention that it's the song Hospodo nalejvej - who wouldn't recognize it? Frontman and singer Ota Hereš announced right at the beginning that they decided to include almost all the songs from their first album in the setlist for tonight. A total of 8 songs from this oldest album were played during the evening. In addition to the aforementioned Hospodo nalejvej, fans could enjoy good old hits such as Podbabskej stánek, Vypít se, Dejvice, Jako obvykle, or even classics that are still commonly included and well-known to everyone, such as ravičko zelená, O chlastu or Na Slamníku.

About halfway through the concert, Ota welcomed a special guest to the stage, a long-time friend of the Alkehol band, who also guested on the first album. This is none other than the frontman of the band Tři sestry, Lou Fanánek Hagen, who cut the song Dejvice with the band, which he also sang on the album with the band Alkehol. He told the Dejvices that even though he and his band Tři sestry are more associated with Bráník and the pubs of Bráník, he studied in Dejvice, knows the pubs of Dejvice and loves Dejvice very much.

After the song Dejvice ended, Ota Hereš asked the guest Fanánek to christen the album for them. He said: "So I'm holding a beautiful carrier in my hand. Alkehol doesn't lose, I heard one song that still sticks to the theme, and I think it's not the only one. So I hope it keeps spinning and spinning." He then christened the album with rum, which he let circulate among the members of the band Alkehol - Ota, Kuna and Bart, who also christened the album, before Fanánek traditionally threw it into the audience. After a short joke by Fanánek, so that the fans wouldn't get hurt while catching them, and he imitated an ambulance - which was not necessary, of course, since no fight broke out over the record, Ota took the floor again and said: "We also asked Fanda if he would sing at least a part or the chorus of a song from the new album with us. We will play you even more songs from the new album, in other words two. It is difficult to fill the time here with songs that we shouldn't play, but should. It is not easy to choose the ones to be excluded from the 300 songs, that is the problem... so we will give two. This is a song that was originally called Lehce nad věče in an acoustic version and we did it in a rock version for the new album, Těžce pod parou, and it is coming right now."

The concert continued with other songs. The second song included from the new album that Ota mentioned could not be any other than the title song Připíjim.

However, the fan returned before the end of the concert and, together with Alkehol, sang the well-known song Travičko zelená, which in his interpretation immediately received a new charge. It was immediately followed by the last song O chlastu. The concert lasted 2 hours.

During the entire concert, there was a fantastic atmosphere in Barč. The audience sang along with the band, jumped, drank beer and waved pints above their heads, as befits and belongs to a proper Alkehol concert. And that was what tonight was – a celebration not only of the new album, but also of a legendary band that, even after years, knows how to serve its fans a good portion of quality entertainment.
