A portal into the world of Donnie Darko will open right in Prague. The cult classic will celebrate its 25th anniversary at SaSaZu

This Saturday, November 7, 2026, Prague's SaSaZu club will transform into the Darko family home. As part of a world tour and celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the cult film Donnie Darko, the immersive Halloween party Donnie Darko's Halloween House Party is coming to the Czech Republic, combining the world of film, an interactive show and a music festival. The event is produced by RFP Concerts and, following sold-out events in Japan, China, London and Belgium's Tomorrowland, is embarking on a world tour covering more than 28 cities as part of the celebrations marking 25 years since the film's release. Special VIP packages will also be available for the biggest fans, with details to be announced when sales launch on Friday, October 2 at 10:00.
Visitors can look forward to an all-night conceptual party in the style of the 1980s. The SaSaZu club space will offer several zones with advanced audiovisual technology from floor to ceiling, faithfully reconstructed film sets, themed bars and a screening of the film itself. During the evening, live DJs will perform, while costumes and ambient sound effects will complete the atmosphere, blurring the line between reality and fiction.
Thanks to its unique mix of nostalgia, film aesthetics and incredible production magic, the party will be an unforgettable experience for film fans, club-scene lovers, Halloween fans and pop-culture enthusiasts. To make the Donnie Darko party a truly immersive experience, a themed dress code has been prepared for visitors in the form of 1980s-inspired costumes or traditional Halloween masks.
A cult classic that has fascinated audiences for a quarter of a century
The 2001 film Donnie Darko, written and directed by Richard Kelly and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Drew Barrymore, Patrick Swayze and Seth Rogen, remains one of the most significant cult films of the 21st century. Set in the late 1980s, the story blends time travel, coming of age and suburban surrealism. The 25th-anniversary celebrations are also accompanied by the forthcoming book sequel The Philosophy of Time Travel by director Richard Kelly himself, which will be released at the end of 2026.
