INGOTT pays tribute to Karel Kryl: hard riffs for immortal songs

The band INGOTT comes with a bold and unexpected undertaking. The new album Sto černých let is a tribute to the legendary folk bard Karel Kryl – but in a rock guise. Fourteen well-known and less-played songs have been given new energy, rawness and hardness, without losing respect for the original.

Although more than half a century has passed since the creation of these songs, the new recording sounds fresh and bears the clear signature of INGOTT. The band managed to connect the poetic depth of Kryl's lyrics with hard rock energy, creating strong and emotional material that has something to say to today's audience.

"It's an honest hard rock experience - full of riffs, emotions and melodies. Kryl has always been an authority for us and a symbol of courage and truth. His songs do not lose their power even after fifty years - the album is proof of their immortality," says frontman Jura Šperl.

A rock tribute with soul

The album Sto černých let brings predatory guitars, punchy drums and strong choruses that give Krylo's lyrics a new dimension. INGOTT does not try to copy, but reinterprets - with respect, but also with the confidence of its own style. The result is a tribute that transcends genres and connects generations.

From the stage and from the recording, you can feel that this band means business - and that Krylo's message in their delivery still burns as much as before.
